RESCUE 26 Rescue 26 was entered into service around late 1974. It has served longer than anticipated and was recently retired. This vehicle served the communities for nearly 30 years, longer than many believed it would. As the new Station 26 was completed sometime in early July 2002, Squad 26 went into service serving the Redington's. Squad 26 provides Advance Life Support (ALS) and the vehicle contains all the advanced life support equipment needed by the Paramedics to treat patients. The patient is then transported by Sunstar ambulance to hospital for further treatment. Rescue 26 was retired from service and donated by the District Fire Commissioners to Camilla Fire & Rescue in Georgia where the vehicle is service in service. Click HERE to learn more. |
